McCORMICK HOUSE IS a country estate of 120 acres located on Kennebecasis Island, situated at the confluence of the St. John and Kennebecasis Rivers, Kings County in the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.

New Brunswick is bordered on its west side by the US State of Maine, on its north side by the Province of Quebec, on its south shore across the Bay of Fundy by the Province of Nova Scotia and on its east shore by the Province of Prince Edward Island, seperated by the Northumberland Straight.

GETTING THERE

The main cities in New Brunswick are historic Saint John, Fredericton, the Provincial capital, and Moncton, the province's southern most francophone city. Kennebecasis Island is a 1.5 hour drive south from Fredericton down the the picturesque St. John River, a 1.5 hour drive west from Moncton along the equally beautiful Kennebecasis River, and a 30 min jaunt from Saint John city centre. From each of these directions one must cross a river (either the St. John or Kennebecasis depending on which direction you have come from) via public ferry to Kingston Peninsula. Once on the Kingston Peninsula travel to the Summerville end of the Peninsula at Milkish Channel and take the Kennebecasis Island ferry to the Island.

From there it's a short drive to the end of McCormick Cove Road where you will find McCormick House.

 

GETTING THERE FROM FURTHER AFIELD

From Quebec, Canada (QC) drive east from Quebec City, cross into New Brunswick (N.B.) at Edmunston, N.B. and drive south following the St. John River. At Westfield, on the outskirts of Saint John, take the Westfield ferry to Kingston Peninsula.

From Maine, USA (ME) travel northeast from Bangor, ME to the Calais/St. Stephen border, cross into N.B., drive to Saint John and take the Millidgeville ferry (Peninsula Princess) to Kingston Peninsula.

From Nova Scotia, Canada (NS) drive north across NS to Moncton, NB From Moncton drive west towards Saint John crossing the Kennebecasis River at Gondola Point on the outskirts of Saint John via the Gondola Point ferry.

From Prince Edward Island, Canada (PEI)) cross the Northumberland Strait via Confederation Bridge into NB. From Moncton drive west towards Saint John crossing the Kennebecasis River at Gondola Point on the outskirts of Saint John via the Gondola Point ferry.
